1920s. This contraption was for large volume sellers to make simple syrup to mix with flavor concentrate to fill the figural Crush dispensers in the early 1920s. Sugar is dumped into the screen strainer inside and then a large amount of water is added to strain through the sugar and create an inexpensive simple syrup. Still retains its nice, large, attractive decal. General overall medium wear and marks.
