This small pistol has a two-stage barrel with turning at muzzle and a sight groove cut from tang extending onto breech. Early flat lockplate with beveled edges and unbridled pan. The brass furniture includes engraved sideplate escutcheons, gadrooned nosecap, trigger guard terminating in a trefoil, and bird head pommel cap. The walnut stock has relief carved panels around lock and opposite lock. CONDITION: Barrel and lock retain a dark patina with some light pitting. Lock is original flint. Brass retains a mellow mustard patina. Stock shows a repaired wrist break and other small repairs.
