3-stage barrel, probably French. British 1756 or 1769 pattern "TOWER" marked lock with "(Crown) / GR" in center and crown with broad arrow ordnance mark. Cherry stock with New England form with a convex silver wrist piece and a period tin repair to the wrist. American made brass mounts. CONDITION: Barrel and lock have a dark patina. Brass has a mustard patina. Stock with some cracks and marks from use. Lock is original flint but appears to be a second lock. A very nice and early fowler with a desirable lock.
