Manufactured 1938-53. Outwardly, a close copy of the Colt 1911-A1. These guns with British proof on right side of slide, B prefix serial number and tonnage stamps on barrel were sent to England in WWII. The assembly number 14250 is stamped on side of mainspring housing and under slide. Finish is blue with standard grooved walnut grip panels. Blued magazine is not marked. Has brass ID tag. CONDITION. Excellent. Retains at least 95% blue, razor sharp slide legends, superb grips, mirror bore.
