C. 1800 see page 161 of "The American Eagle Pommel Sword" by Andrew Mowbray for another example. D-guard knucklebow with single triangular piercing. One piece solid brass eagle pommel and faceted grip. Early Spanish style three fuller blade slightly curved. Tooled leather scabbard with shaped brass mounts. CONDITION: Blade shows a mostly brown patina. Hilt retains a pleasing dark mustard patina. Scabbard missing last 6". A rare sword.
