This is a wonderful pair of desktop figural match holders. (A) A brass foreign piano with two frogs - one playing the piano and the other playing the violin - all mounted to a formed brass base. There is a lift lid to the piano for the match holders and a mounted match strike on the base. There is great detail to the frogs and the piano. It is engraved on the top "To George on August 11th 1883." CONDITION: There are no breaks, cracks or repairs. It has a great aged patina. (B) A desktop match holder in the form of a pool table or snooker table mounted to a marble base. It has a bronze or brass constructed lid and piano base, with mounted felt to the pool table. CONDITION: The holder shows some dirt to the mounted felt, and it is missing one pool stick. Overall, a great aged patina.
