This is a pair of desktop match holders. (A) A cast bronze match holder in the form of an acorn that swivels out from under its lid to expose the matches with the match striker embossed in the base. The holder has great form and detail. CONDITION: The match holder shows an aged patina with added painted graphic to the front of the cauldron. There are no breaks, cracks or repairs. (B) A figural match holder in the form of a knife sharpener located next to a barrel. The barrel would hold the matches, and the knife sharpener is the striker for the matches. It is mounted to a marble base with the correct cast crank. CONDITION: The match holder shows added paint to the casting. There is great detail with only some minor paint loss to the base of knife sharpener, and a great aged patina.
