Depicts astronaut Virgil I. Grissom, who was an American Air Force pilot and astronaut in the Mercury program. Grissom was also the second American man to fly into space. Grissom was famously killed along with fellow astronauts Ed White and Roger Chaffe during a pre-launch test for the Apollo I mission at Cape Canaveral. Grissom was 40 when he died and his autograph is extremely difficult find. The back of his sketch has a few facts written in pencil about Grissom. Just some slight staining to bottom right corner but it does not detract from the signature. Comes with an LOA from JSA.

Condition: (Very Good - Excellent).

Item Dimensions: 7 - 1/2" x 5".
AUTOGRAPHED STRIZZI SKETCH OF VIRGIL GRISSOM.
