An outstanding example of this iconic C. 1930's Porcelain Sign from Marathon Products showing Marathon Runner graphic with "Best In The Long Run" scroll. CONDITION: Side one is overall excellent showing brilliant color & gloss in the green & orange with some light haziness in the black porcelain. Side one shows one minor nick in the leg of the graphic as well as some very faint field scratching. Side one shows minimal mount hole chipping with one heavy chip at the lower edge, (Score 88). Side two also shows phenomenal color & gloss in the green & orange with very minimal hazing in the black porcelain. Side two shows two minor chips in the field as well as some areas of surface scratching present. The lower edge shows one heavy chip with minimal chipping along the remaining outer edge and mounting holes, (Score 88). An exceptionally clean and high grade example of this highly sought after Sign from Marathon.
