DSP. A fair example of this West Coast advertising Porcelain Sign from Mobiloil showing an excellent Pegasus graphic. CONDITION: Side one shows excellent color and gloss throughout the field showing a near mint Pegasus graphic. Side one shows moderate surface scratching in the white porcelain as well as added holes in the Mobiloil lettering. Side one shows minor chipping but overall displays well, Grade 7.0. Side two also shows very good color and gloss with a clean Pegasus graphic but shows moderate areas of chipping as well as spider webbing in the porcelain. Side two shows moderate to heavy wear around the Mobiloil lettering but overall displays nicely, Grade 7.0. Sign is mounted in the original frame and the frame is mounted to an original Mobiloil Gargoyle cast base. Base and pole show period repaint and heavy rusting and discoloration but has an excellent patina type look to it. Although worn the piece displays well and is a seldom seen version of this Sign.
