A very scarce pair of darkened leather boots troops as issued to enlisted US Cavalrymen. Constructed of three piece leather stacked heels and soles secured with hand forged square hobnails. CONDITION: Original leather pull tabs are present and stitching is good. No holes or splits to the leather. This is one of the hardest Custer era items to acquire for a correct display of trooper's effects. PROVENANCE: Dr. Frank Wagner cavalry museum collection.
