OUTSTANDING POWERLUBE MOTOR OIL "SMOOTH AS THE TREAD OF A TIGER" DOUBLE SIDED PORCELAIN SIGN
DSP. C. 1930s. Maker Marked Wolverine Porcelain, Detroit. An exceptionally clean example of this iconic piece of advertising from Powerlube. CONDITION: Side one showing excellent color & gloss with chip free field showing excellent condition script and Tiger graphic. Sideone showing some very minor cloudiness in the far outer field with some minimal nicks at the mounting holes and outer edges. Side two Also shows bright color & gloss with ultra clean graphic and script. Side two showing some whitening to the blue color with light nicks at the mounting holes and along the outer edges. An exceptional piece of advertising from Powerlube.
