SST. Marked "Copyright 1899. Owned by J.W. McCulloch, Owensboro, Kentucky." This incredibly clean example of this c. 1900 single-sided tin sign from Green River Whiskey features a wonderful graphic of a man and his horse in front of the Green River Inn. This sign retains its original wood frame, which is marked "McCulloch The Distiller. Owensboro, KY." CONDITION: The field of this sign is exceptional, with no paint loss or scrapes. The back leg of the horse shows a few dime-sized areas that show dulling to the gloss, but no color loss. The outer edges of the sign are concealed by the original frame. The frame shows wonderful gold scrollwork and color. The bottom left corner shows one small chip to the wood scrolling.
