This is an early cast iron countertop trade stimulator made by the Pag Mfg. Co. in Chicago, C. 1900. In gold paint with original front cardboard face, the machine operates by pushing up a lever in the back which spins the dial. The operation of the trade stimulator would have been as a topper to the cash register with linkage connected to the drawer opening to spin the dial. It advertises drinks on the house and is embossed "Amount Purchased" across the bottom. Condition shows ground dirt to the cardboard dial, which could be cleaned, oxidation throughout, missing back cover to the linkage and it is unknown if the linkage is complete. A very rare and early trade stimulator with the right look for any bar room.
Condition: (Good).
Item Dimensions: 16 - 1/2" x 2" x 20".
