Halberd head intended for use in parade pierced through with crosses and geometric designs, with removable head affixed by three screws for easier transportation. Small maker's mark on left side of head. Spatulate point measures approximately 14". 7" across cutting edge of head, fluke is approximately 6 - 1/4" to tip. Small crosspin for retaining head to shaft is tied to head with thin copper wire. CONDITION: Metal is essentially a smooth gunmetal grey with some scattered areas of mossing and oxidation throughout. Some oil splotches that have discolored metal. Some spots of delamination from forging. Screws molested and sharp at the edges.
