1910, GERMANY: A smaller sized upright Polyphon disc music box playing 28cm (11") discs across a duplex comb with 108 teeth. Walnut cabinet with a dark finish, brass plated gallery, and storage drawer. Coin operated mechanism, and comes with one disc. CONSIDERATIONS: There is something "off" about the case and mechanism, as the case appears to have housed a 15 - 1/2" mechanism at one time, and possibly this 11" was added to this case. That said, the music box plays well and the coin operation works as intended. The walnut cabinet has moderate wear, with several age cracks, including one to the front door at the 6 o'clock position. The red cloth accent was added, and the duplex comb has no repair or missing teeth.
