Very desirable and lovely 15" doll, with bisque socket head only impressed "9", with brown glass sleep eyes, thick blond multi stroke brows, tiny painted upper and lower lashes, well sculpted distinctive nose, and closed mouth with protruding upper lip. This doll is believed to have been made by Kestner, and is refereed to by collectors as the "AT" Kestner, in that she somewhat resembles the French doll marked AT. She is on a wood and composition Sonneberg type elongated body with thin limbs and straight wrists. She wears a very nice antique silk costume of rose color with wide sash at waist and ecru lace trim, old underwear, old white canvas shoes, and an antique blond mohair wig over a plaster pate. The fancy silk bonnet is made of all old fabric, but is probably not as old as the doll itself.
Item Dimensions: 15" T.
