This is an incredible lithographed paper sign still in its original wooden and gesso frame. On the back of the frame it is stenciled “Property of Weideman Fries Co. Cleveland O”. The sign is dated 1896 and was made by Louis C. Wagner of New York. On the bottom of the sign, on top of the gold panel, it says “Weideman - Fries Company”. Underneath this writing you can see remnants of printing which says “The Weideman - Holmes Co”, which was most likely the previous partners name. The sign has some soiling, mostly noticeable on the borders. There are also a few mild stains and discolorations. The sign displays very well and appears to have never been taken out of its frame.

Condition: (Very Good Plus).
