This lot consists of a marble bust of President Ulysses S. Grant. The artist has gone to great lengths to take note of all the markings that make President Grant recognizable to the public such as his facial features and his well known beard. The President is depicted wearing a jacket, most likely a military one, a collared shirt and tie. President Grant appears to be worried, with worry lines present on his forehead and shown in his eyes. The bust sits on top of a marble pedestal that is connected to the bust itself. The piece is in good condition with normal wear present.
