Lovely early 1840's era pink luster shoulder head with brown painted wavy hair framing face but allowing ears to be exposed and pulled into a tight coiled bun in back. She has red eye liner, pink rosy cheeks and slight smiling expression. Body is stuffed muslin with long elegant china forearms and legs with black molded and painted boots with brown painted soles and lavender painted garters. Costume appears antique if not original and consists of a two piece dress with separate jacket, oversized sleeves and ruffled skirt with turquoise trim. Undergarments are all old and she has a red ribbon from UFDC in 1962. Condition is very good with slight loss of glaze to nose tip and some pitting and glaze lines on lower legs.
Item Dimensions: 18 - 1/2" T.
