DSP. Sign is Maker Marked Baltimore Enamel. Very rare C. 1920's Porcelain Service Station Sign for Franklin Motor Oils showing an excellent Ben Franklin graphic with the "Drive Thy Business" slogan. CONDITION: Side one is excellent overall showing very good color & gloss with five very small nicks in the field as well as some fine surface scratches. Side one shows some chipping at the top two mounting holes as well as light nicks along the outer edge but overall excellent, Grade 8.75+. Side two also shows very good color & gloss with seven areas of light chipping in the field as well as some areas of surface scratching. Side two shows some moderate chipping at the top two mounting holes as well as some light nicks at the outer edge, Grade 8.0. A unique and well displaying piece of rare Service Station Signage.
