SSP. Excellent condition C. 1920's Porcelain Service Station Thermometer advertising both Shell Gasoline & Motor Oil and showing large Shell graphics at the top & bottom side. CONDITION: Thermometer shows excellent color & gloss throughout the clean field with excellent condition graphics as well as temperature reading numbers. Sign shows a minor chip near the "Pat. March 1915" at the bottom of the tube window as well as light chipping at the top and bottom mounting holes. The outer edge is fairly clean showing just a few light areas of minimal edge chipping. Thermometer shows a working tube as well as original wooden tube cradle and hardware. An excellent example of early Shell Service Station Signage.
