DSP. Maker marked, "IR 052." C. 1950 Richfield double-sided porcelain station identifier sign. CONDITION: Side 1, has fair color with significant surface scratching throughout most of the "Richfield" lettering and eagle graphic. Sign has multiple areas of porcelain loss in the field as well as areas of deeper scratching in the yellow below the word "Richfield." Sign has added holes with porcelain loss along the outer field, as well as porcelain loss and a minor bend on the extreme outer edge of the piece (7.5). Side 2, has excellent color and shine with very minor areas of surface scratching and staining in the field. Sign shows porcelain chips both in the inner and outer fields, as well as added holes with porcelain loss. The outer edge of the sign has areas of minor porcelain chipping and a more notable bend with porcelain loss at the top of the outer edge (7.9). Overall, a highly desirable piece with tremendous graphic and display power.
