This pleasing gun was made in Milton, Pennsylvania, along with the hunting bag horn and full accessories which came with it. This very pleasing rifle is signed "S.M." on the 39" full-octagonal, rifled barrel and has its original lock plate ( fine re-conversion) and is completely original in all other respects. The curly maple stock has its original finish and carries all of its brass hardware, including the handsome "spread-wing" Eagle final on the patch box with four large piercing in the side plates, flanking the lid. There are eight silver inlays, including a hunter's star on the cheek rest, a brass cheek plate fore-arm wear plate and a 5" long brass toe plate. The well-designed "set-triggers" reflect the gun smith's fine eye for detailing. This rifle is in the same state as when it was made and used, and it was very "well-cared for" by its owner.
SAMUEL MORRISON KENTUCKY RIFLE.
