AGS CERTIFIED #11222. DSP. Maker Marked "Burdick; Chi." A desirable example of this C. 1930's double sided porcelain sign from the Santa Fe Trail bus line featuring a bus in motion graphic. This sign has had a custom ring and ornate bracket made for it, which displays wonderfully and was very well made. CONDITION: Side 1 retains excellent color and gloss in the field. The biggest detraction in the field is that there has been two mounting holes added in "FE" and "SYSTEM." Other than these added holes, the field remains very nice with only light surface scratching visible in certain light. The top edge has five original mounting holes that show areas of porcelain loss. The extreme outer edges of the sign remain nice and show only minimal wear and chipping, which is largely all concealed by the custom ring (SCORE 88). Side 2 also retains excellent gloss and color throughout the field. Other than the two previously mentioned non-factory mounting holes, the field remains in great condition with only light surface scratches visible at certain angles. The five original mounting holes along the top show areas of porcelain loss and the outer border in general remains nice with only isolated areas of chipping (SCORE 88). This sign is ready to hang and displays wonderfully with its heavy and well-made custom ring and bracket.
Condition: (AGS CERTIFIED SCORE 88,88).
Item Dimensions: 37" X 28" X 1.75".
