Very popular 1950's set. There is three pieces of hand-painted original artwork: first one is for card no. 89, "Worldwide News: Fire Destroys Half of Rome", which shows Nero playing the harp while watching Rome burn; second is for card no. 2, "Buffalo Evening News", which shows people running away from buildings on fire during 1871 Chicago fire; the third and last is card no. 44, "Baltimore News Post: East Meets West 1869" and shows Indians watching cowboys and other prairie folk with new railroad trains. Scoops artwork cards are very rare, and some have brought approximately $2000 a piece. This is a very good opportunity for someone who collects 1950's cards and artwork.
