Early Archaic 10000 - 8000 B.P. Found near Joplin, Missouri. Burlington chert. From the Marion Dickson Collection, one of the early founders of the famous Dickson Mounds complex in Central Illinois. Broad base and large notches suggest this point has been worked down from a much larger blade.
