19th Century Yataghan sword from the Ottoman Empire. Slightly down curving blade of typical form, grips are cut and carved from walrus tusks with chased silver front and backstaps. The wood scabbard is covered with chased silver displaying rococo designs, the lower portion worked with stands of arms and architectural elements. CONDITION: Blade is bright / grey, the silver back strap is missing, grips with moderate wear. Scabbard is in very good condition with no losses and minor wear. DG
