Measures 36" across the prod, 33" from stirrup to rear of stock. Iron prod with a more recent string. Release is an interesting spring loaded mechanism rather than the normally seen knut, which clamps down on the string. When the trigger is pulled, the mechanism pops up and releases the string. Bulbous foregrip affixed under forearm. Tang rear sight with V notch rear sight; front sight slot is vacant with a screw to adjust sight for windage. More traditional "firearm" style trigger guard and buttstock. CONDITION: Wood has significant insect damage along forearm and cracking in channel. Tang has been repaired at horns with fixed pins, tang sight missing screws. Metal has an even chocolate patina with oxidation throughout. String is good as of a more recent vintage. Foregrip likely a very late addition.
