This Muhammad Ali signature was signed on 3/16/64. This card was signed 18 days after the first Sonny Liston fight and only shortly while after his stint with Malcolm X as Cassius X. Very shortly afterwards Clay decided to become a follower of the Nation of Islam and Elijah Muhammad who gave him the name Muhammad Ali. This card/coupon for Goldblatts snack shop has is hand dated on the reverse 3/16.64. It has a very early Ali signature characteristics and rates 8 out of 10. This quite possibly could be the earliest known dated Muhammad Ali signature.
