Top original condition so called “3rd Model” original Thompson 50 round drum. Marked “AUTO-ORDNANCE CORP, NEW YORK N.Y., U.S.A. PATENTED JULY 27 1920 DEC 7 1920” on main body with original cover. Original nickel rotor inside. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish of drum is near excellent original dull matte blue finish with a couple slight handling marks. Interior shows a few “rings” from brass cartridges in the finish, which is a good indicator of the functionality of this drum. This model of early drum is very seldom found in such magnificent original condition. Just the item for the forward-thinking investor and collector. JWK 2025-05-045.
