A beautiful leaded glass table lamp by Tiffany Studios. The 15” diameter spider shade features lovely green glass, darker at the aperture, which fades to a lighter green as it progresses downward. The cast spider and leading are finished in a beautiful red-brown patina. The shade is in excellent condition, free of broken, missing, or loose glass, with just a very small number of tight hairline cracks. Shade is signed “Tiffany Studios NY 1472”, however it is our opinion that while the shade is authentic, this is not the original tag. The shade sits on a bronze Tiffany Studios inverted mushroom base. The three-socket base is finished in a red-brown patina, which compliments that of the shade. Base is in excellent condition, free of cracks or dents. The base is signed “Tiffany Studios New York 337”. Includes spider heat cap. Provenance: Bonhams, Jun 4, 2008.
