1895, GERMANY: Troubadour music boxes were made in several sizes by B Grosz & Co. of Leipzig, Germany. Many of the larger examples are thought to have been manufactured by Polyphon, as the mechanisms are quite the same. This example carries a Troubadour brass nameplate, however the case bares a resemblance to a Symphonion style 130, though the dimensions slightly differ. Playing 52cm (20 - 1/2") discs across a single comb. CONSIDERATIONS: The mahogany cabinet shows moderate wear due to age and handling. The mechanism works smoothly, however there is no internal mechanism cover. The comb has no repairs or missing teeth, and the coin operation is working. Comes with one disc.
