TWO HANDED PARADE SWORD.

Of modern manufacture. With a spaulate blade that measures 1 - 1/2" across for nearly the full length, tapering at the tip. Thinner ricasso with a pair of crescent lugs. Elaborate guard with curled quillions. Exaggerated faceted wood grip measures 16 - 1/2". Pommel of ovoid form with a raised and turned capstan. Blades like this were traditionally designed to be large and gaudy for parades, and were never intended for real combat. CONDITION: Blade with smooth brown oxidation over a dove grey throughout, blade torqued at the tip and someone has attempted to straighten it. Other mounts loose and with casting flaws and attempts to age.
