Truly, an incredible piece. No doubt, never having been rigged with hooks over its lifetime has preserved its pristine, Solid Red finish. The bait was made 1909-10 and Solid Red was never a catalogued option during that time, making this example even more special. All nickel-plated hardware except for the rear screw eye, which is brass and no markings on the spinners. Perfect glass eyes, four perfectly hidden belly weights, and a curious nickel-plate box swivel attached to the line tie. A unique and very special bait that can be seen on page 85 of The Heddon Legacy.
