An excellent example of a non regulation Fair Weather Christian Belt for use with the 4.5-70 cartridge. The belt is constructed of black leather with leather .45-70 bullet loops that are secured to the belt with brass and copper rivets. The belt features an open frame army black roller buckle, a Civil War era cap box, and M1863 leather holster which can accommodate the Single Action Army revolver are secured to the belt. The holster is complete with intact belt loop, plug, securing strap, finial, and intact flap. The holster remains supple with crazing throughout. The cap box retains both its inner and outer flaps with intact securing strap and finial. Belt remains supple with intact cartridge loops and tight rivets. Scattered blemishes and crazing but all pieces are in similar condition. A very nice rig. This set is former Ed Greene collection. CONDITION: Good.
