7 - 1/2" crescentic blade elaborately pierced with heart. Fluke, 5", pierced en suite with blade. 10" central spike in the form of a blade, elaborately pierced with a serpent and two slots. CONDITION: Blade has its original straps and what appears to be the original pole with remnants of very ancient velvet covering. 89" overall. A most impressive and decorative 17th century halberd.PROVENANCE: FORMER COLLECTION OF THE NELSON-ATKINS MUSEUM OF ART.
