This rare and desirable Japanese sword with pierced guard retains much of its original gilding. The slender etched blade has excellent pattern and only minor staining. A lacquered leather scabbard is in excellent condition and both locket and shape retain much original gilding. Sword still retains its original gold bullion knot with only minor damage to one thread. These swords are very rare and highly desirable. CONDITION: Excellent.
