Joe Palooka Little Max pushing tin-litho box with Joe Palooka lithographed on box. Includes exceedingly scarce original box, which is complete with great color graphics. Made by Sal Metal Products, Brooklyn, New York. From the comic character strip created by Ham Fisher, which debuted in 1930 and depicted Joe Palooka as the reigning real-life boxing champion. Max was his mute orphan sidekick and this might be the only toy made of Little Max. CONDITION: Slight creasing to box, but displays very well with nice colors and comic strip on back of box. Very few examples known, especially with original box. Toy has little to no wear. Box is excellent condition, toy is near mint to mint condition. From the Jeff Landes Collection.

Condition: (Excellent - Mint).
