VERY SCARCE NORWEGIAN M1894 SNIPER VOIGTLANDER SCOPE AND MOUNT.

In 1910 1,000 Model 1894 Krag rifles numbered in the 89602 to 90601 range were fitted were with telescopic sights. Five were to be issued to each company as sniper rifles for high value targets. This mount is numbered "90557". The specially designed blued elevation adjustable base holds a German made Voigtlaender scope numbered "286". CONDITION: Very good. The vast majority of the arsenal blue is retained with areas of fading and some older oxidation spotting. Optics are somewhat hazy. A very rare sniper scope seldom seen loose.
