VIETNAM WAR ERA RANDALL MODEL 15 AIRMAN WITH GREEN TENITE HANDLE.
A nice example of an early extended tang, green tenite handled Randall Model 15 airman. The knife has the characteristics of a Model 15 that was crafted during the late 1950s-early 1960s. The carbon steel blade features the iconic "high hump" toward the drop point and is marked "RANDALL MADE / ORLANDO FLA" between Randall's signature scimitars. The blade exhibits scattered blemishes with great cross graining. Heavy squared polished guard with light patina. Four finger grooved green tenite handle secured by two large screws. Exposed extended tang with piercing to accommodate paracord. The handle exhibits scattered light blemishes. The knife is complete with its split back russet leather scabbard that features "RANDALL MADE / ORLANDO, FLA." brown plastic snaps that were used on Randall scabbards during the 1940s-1960s. The scabbard is marked with Randall's football logo on the belt loop. The scabbard remains supple and exhibits scattered blemishes. Rivets exhibit patina. Circa late 1950s-early 1970s crystolon hone present in pouch. CONDITION: Very good.
