The history of the Buscadero rig is often credited to saddle maker S.D. Myres in the early 1920s. While the jock strap Texas style holster was being produced in the 1890's , it was Myres, in his Sweetwater Texas shop where they became main stream and extremely popular. This rig was made for a pair of Colt 5 1/2" single action army revolvers. The belt and holsters are finely hand tooled in the floral pattern. Rig sports a nickel plated California clip point buckle and leather is stamped " Hand Crafted by Joel, 3502,40", .44 cal. " Condition is excellent.
