This pistol is in all original, untouched condition. The iron 7 1/2" long barrel is marked "London with a "Liege" proof mark in an elongated panel, and the tang has the stylized "Prince of Wales" three feathers stamp. The flintlock is marked "W" Ketland & Co." with a "Broad arrow and crown" marking. The brass hardware is engraved simply and has an untouched dark patina. The walnut stock has its original finish, while the ramrod is old. The entire pistol has not shown any modern attempts to improve the surfaces.
WAR OF 1812 INDIAN TRADE PISTOL.
