ENGRAVED WINCHESTER 4TH MODEL 1866 SADDLE RING CARBINE WITH GOLD WASHED RECEIVER.WINCHESTER1866 SRC15506244 CFCal. 44 CF. 20" bbl, blue and gold wash finish. Straight grained American walnut stocks with carbine butt. Bbl has 2-line Winchester address in front of rear sight with no cal mark. Standard carbine sights with 2-leaf rear sight. Receiver has been cleaned, nicely engraved and gold washed. SN is stamped behind lever on lower tang. Upper tang is unmarked. Stock has brass carbine butt plate with engraving on tang. Bbl bands are steel. CONDITION: Very good as refinished. Bbl and magazine tube are a gray brown patina overall with sharp marking. Sights are good. Bore is dark with visible rifling. Receiver has been cleaned overall with some replaced screws. Engraving is of good quality. Receiver retains a generous amount of gold wash overall. Hammer and lever are a deep plumb brown patina. Buttstock has been cleaned and is undersized, with handling marks overall. Buttplate retains traces of gold wash with numerous dents. Bbl bands are silver brown patina.
