Of standard configuration throughout. Barrel stamped US JHP. Lock stamped US R. Johnson Middn Conn 1844. Walnut stock stamped JC in cartouche and WAT for William A. Thornton in cartouche. CONDITION: Barrel is fine, polished over extremely minor pitting. Lock retains considerable original dark case hardening. All small parts fine. Figured stock with considerable raised grain and only very minor mark. Perfect cartouches. Action is crisp as new. Bore is brilliant. Pistol appears to be unfired. A good example of this particular model. From the Robert Sadler Collection.
