(A) CASED ADAMS PATENT LARGE FRAME DOUBLE ACTION PERCUSSION REVOLVER.

This beautifully finished high polish revolver is stamped "B9077" and "Adams Patent No. 24748R" on the right side of frame. The cylinder is stamped with "24749" matching the patent use number. There are British proof marks on barrel and all cylinder walls. Features the English high polish blue finish, a dovetailed small blade front sight, and one piece checkered walnut grips with a solid metal pommel. Comes in an oak case with dealer label for John Pratt of Edinburgh. The case houses a two cavity brass bullet mold, a Dixon bag flask, a wood handle turn screw, and a wood cleaning rod. CONDITION: Excellent. The barrel and frame retain nearly all of its bright blue with nominal handling marks. The cylinder is just as bright blue with some nominal flaking. Trigger guard and pommel retain a small measure of blue. Grips are excellent and sharp. Mechanically sound with a bright bold bore. Stunning set.
