Serial number 136237 manufactured in 1857. 4" barrel with two line New York barrel address. Five shot .31 caliber with stagecoach holdup scene. Full nickel plated finish with varnished one piece walnut grips. Matching serial numbers on barrel, frame, trigger guard, backstrap, cylinder, loading lever, and wedge. Complete with walnut partition style fitted case with tan interior, including correct powder flask, bullet mold, and percussion cap tin. CONDITION: Fine to excellent overall with nearly all of the period refinished nickel. All markings and cylinder scene are sharp and crisp. Grips are excellent with minimal dents and scratches with most original varnish remaining. Case exterior is excellent with minimum scratches and wear. Interior shows moderate wear and discoloration. Brass bullet mold has numerous small dents. Flask has an attractive mustard color patina with dents on both sides. Overall an attractive early Colt Model 1849 Pocket. MKS
