In 1971, Colt produced 4750 each of the US Grant and Robert E. Lee commemorative 1851 Navy revolvers. This was the first year that Colt reintroduced the 1851 Navy into their catalogs since 1873. They were the finest examples of this famous weapon ever made. This Lee version features a rich blue and case color finish with one piece walnut grips, bright blue screws, octagon barrel, Naval battle scene on the cylinder with nickel plated back strap and round trigger guard. It comes in a walnut case with a full compliment of accessories including a powder flask, bullet mold and cap tin. CONDITION. Excellent. Gun has never been fired and shows only some handling.
