1856 vintage Colt 1849 revolver. 4" octagon barrel in .31 caliber with cone front sight, hammer notch rear, and 5-shot cylinder. Colt New York City barrel address. Matching serial numbers on butt, trigger guard, frame, cylinder, and rammer. CONDITION: Very good with metal assemblies showing around 35% decent factory blue thinning to grey. Cylinder stagecoach robbery roll scene is very crisp and shows little wear although blue is worn. About 50% remaining of what appears to be original silver plating on trigger guard and back strap assemblies. Grips have some slight finish loss at bottom but do not show any major signs of distress. Action works appropriately and hammer is tight. Bore is bright with no pitting observed and nice visible lands and grooves. BRM.
