(A) COLT 1878 FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER .44-40 DOUBLE ACTION REVOLVER
Manufactured by Colt in 1888. Nickel plated and engraved in the New York style with broad scrolls and splashes of the Helfrich style with a fine punchdot background. Barrel has the etched "FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER" panel and screws, trigger, and lanyard swivel are nitre blue finished for an elegant contrast. Mounted with an excellent fitting pair of 2 piece ivory grips. CONDITION: Extremely fine with excellent bore and retaining 100% of its custom contemporary finishes. Mechanically fine and artfully embellished.
